Little did I know after joining that night, it was going to change my life.
Oh my, where does one start when they are sharing their own story with Tupperware!
On November 6, 2016, I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism. At that time, I was also invited to a Tupperware Party that my sister, Cindy Hart, had organized for another girl named Deanna. Since my sister was previously a Tupperware Consultant, she still had contacts to reach out to that would help Deanna host a party. I was also invited to the party, but was unable to attend due to being back in the hospital.
So, knowing all the benefits of hosting a party, I texted my sister letting her know that I would host a party so Deanna would be able to receive her Hostess gifts. Fast forward to January 23, 2017. My sister called to ask me to be her guest at a team meeting at Michele Womble’s house.
Keep in mind my sister wasn’t even in Tupperware, but something or someone was leading me to go. That moment changed my life forever. I walked into Michele’s home, and when we pulled into the driveway, I had already made up my mind I would join Tupperware. Little did I know after joining that night, it was going to change my life. Being diagnosed with PE was a struggle. I had good days and bad, but I didn’t let that steal the good moments away from me.
Shoot for the stars and if you land on the moon, it is okay!
I was on a medication that was costing me $425 a month to keep the PE at bay. Then came the moment where I had to make a choice, staying on medication to stay alive or a car payment. I chose the former. Now I was without a car, but I didn’t let that stop me.
Fast forward to April of 2017. I wanted to step up to Manager, and we were still lacking a little over $300 in sales. I had a choice to make yet once again. I could just sit on the couch and feel sorry for myself, or I could go and hit the streets and find Customers. So, I hit the streets, found customers and became a Manager.
I did this all with no car! I am now in the DIQ (Director-in-Qualification) program, and I couldn’t be more blessed to be a part of this amazing company. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing team and Business Leader Michele Womble!!! I always say to our team, shoot for the stars and if you land on the moon, it is okay!
