Your mornings are about to change. You can thank us later.
Coffee. Joe. Java. Brew. Café. Caffeine. A beverage known by many names and loved by many hearts worldwide now has a new addition to its family. We’re talking about Cold Brew.
P.S. It’s not just for mornings.
If you haven’t heard about cold brew coffee, just yet, you need to know this: it isn’t just regular coffee. It’s cool coffee. Literally.
Cold coffee seems to have debuted even before hot coffee did, back in the 1600s, when heating water was more arduous than just using cold water that was more easily accessible. From 17th century Dutch Traders, to the Japanese adapted Kyoto-style brewing method, this unique brewing method has been resurrected and brought to stardom over the past 5 years. The brewty (fine, beauty*) begins in your fridge and ends with a rich, mellow, low acidity morning cuppa, afternoon pick-me-up or nighttime wind-down.

COLD BREW COFFEE OR ICED COFFEE?
Now, don’t mistake cold brew coffee for iced coffee. They’re as different as cupcakes and muffins.
Iced coffee is made with hot coffee poured over ice. You will get an entirely different flavor profile and different health benefits are reportedly associated with cold brew (we’ve heard higher caffeine means firmer skin, so we’re here for it).
Cold brew coffee allows for slow gentle steeping over the course of 12–24 hours in the fridge. By extracting the flavor at a colder temperature for a longer period, the bitter notes of coffee are left behind.
The result? The smoothest, richest-tasting coffee you’ve ever had.
