Soup Soup-er Tips

In honor of National Soup Day, we want to share three simple tips that can save a soup (that’s why they’re “soup”er).

Soup too spicy?

Dilute with additional liquid. Try adding 1/4 cup lime, lemon or orange juice at a time, tasting to ensure you’re avoiding altering the flavor or serve with a dollop of dairy (sour cream).

Soup too greasy?

Add a lettuce leaf or two to the soup, leave for 5 minutes until grease is absorbed, then remove and discard.

Want more flavor?

Stir in any fresh herbs or greens at the very end of cooking a soup or stew to enjoy the most flavor.
