One of our latest tools to enter the microwave cooking game is the Microwave Pressure Cooker. It’s an unbelievably fast way to achieve flavorful, juicy meals.
Summer Poached Pears
Ingredients
- 2 pears, peeled, halved and cored
- ¼ cup golden raisins
- ¼ cup dried cranberries
- ¾ cup pink lemonade
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ tsp. coconut extract
Instructions
- Place pears in base of Microwave Pressure Cooker.
- In medium bowl, stir together remaining ingredients and pour over pears.
- Seal and microwave on high power 10 minutes.
- Remove from microwave and allow pressure to release naturally until red pressure indicator fully lowers, about 4–6 minutes.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
When they are done they are fall off the bone delicious. The long slow cooking really mellows the Jamaican Jerk spices nicely. It’s easy to overdo like I did the first time I cooked this simple meal, so be judicious
