I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but I cannot get mayo to form and I am following these instructions exactly. The only way I can get Mayo is to use an immersion blender, but I would really like to use my powerchef!
Hi Kie, here’s a suggestion from our Home Economist: try opening funnel attachment so the oil is barely entering the Power Chef and then be ready to start pulling as soon as it is barely dripping into the Power Chef. If too much oil gets in before you are able to start forming an emulsion between the egg yolk and the oil then you won’t be able to get it to form.
Hope it helps!
there isn’t enough oil.you need at least half to 3/4 cups oil for 2 egg yolks. you aren’t doing anything wrong.
there isn’t enough oil.you need at least half to 3/4 cups oil for 2 egg yolks. you aren’t doing anything wrong. I use an electric hand beater to add lots of air and volume. Foolproof.
