Ballgame Salad

Your little slugger will love this fun way to eat every kids baseball game favorite—hot dogs! For a lower-fat option, choose turkey hot dogs instead.

Ballgame Salad

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup low-fat mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet pickled relish
  • 1 tbsp. whole-grain mustard
  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 6 hot dogs, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 8 oz./225 g bagged coleslaw mix
  • 10 oz./285 g bagged mixed lettuce
  • 4 small vine-ripe tomatoes, diced
  • ½ cup gherkin pickles, diced
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Whisk together ketchup, mayonnaise, relish and mustard. Set aside or refrigerate, if not using immediately.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in fry pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the hot dog pieces and cook for 5 minutes or until hot dogs are heated through.
  4. In a serving bowl, toss lettuce, coleslaw mix, tomatoes, pickles and prepared dressing together. Top with hot dog pieces.
  5. Serve immediately.

Heat vegetable oil in a Chef Series™ 11″/
28 cm Fry Pan over medium-high heat. Add
the hot dog pieces and cook for 5 minutes
or until hot dogs are heated through.
In a serving bowl, toss lettuce, coleslaw mix,
tomatoes, pickles and prepared dressing
together. Top with hot dog pieces. Serve
immediately.
