French Onion Dip

This is a staple and you need some form of it at your Big Game party. The store-bought kind is okay but we dare you to try ours: the convenience and flavor alone is so worth the homemade effort. Plus, pulling the chopping string on the Power Chef® System is just too dang fun.

Ingredients |Yield: 4 Serving Size: 1/2 cup

¾ cup sour cream

½ tsp. salt

2 tbsp. heavy cream

1/8 tsp. vinegar

¼ tsp. garlic powder

  3. Replace blade attachment with paddle attachment. Add sour cream, salt, cream, vinegar, garlic powder and mayonnaise. Cover and pull cord until well blended.

Beefy Zucchini Boats

We won’t forsake our health resolutions this year! And you shouldn’t either. Our Culinary Expert created this recipe as a rich, lip-smacking but healthful version of potato skins. You’re gonna love ‘em like you love shaking it next to J.Lo and Shakira during the Halftime Show.

Ingredients | Yield: 4 Serving Size: 1 zucchini boat

1 lb./455 g ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

1 tbsp. DIY Southwest Chipotle Seasoning

14.5-oz./425 g can diced tomatoes

2 large zucchinis

¼ tsp. coarse kosher salt

1 cup shredded mozzarella

  1. Place TupperWave® Stack Cooker Colander in 1¾-Qt./1.75 L Casserole. Place beef, onion and DIY Southwest Chipotle in Stack Cooker Colander. Cover and microwave on high power 5–6 minutes, or until cooked, stirring halfway through. Add tomatoes to ground beef and stir.
  2. Half zucchinis lengthwise and remove seeds with a spoon. Sprinkle each half with salt. Place zucchinis in Stack Cooker 3-Qt./3 L Casserole and in the inverted ¾-Qt./750 mL Casserole/Cover. Spoon beef mixture over each zucchini boat and top with cheese. Stack inverted ¾-Qt./750 mL Casserole/Cover above 3-Qt./3 L Casserole and microwave on high power 5–8 minutes or until cheese is melted and zucchinis have softened slightly. Serve warm.

Drunken Burgers With Marsala Onions

These burgers are what your Big Game party dreams are made of: Juicy, complex in flavor, and the perfect reward to chomp into when your team scores a touchdown. Our only warning with these? Save one for one for a midnight-snack, as well.

Ingredients |Yield: 4 Serving Size: 1 burger

1 lb./455 g ground chuck

4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1/4 cup fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, chopped

1/4 tsp. ground clove

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 cup Marsala wine

2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

2 medium yellow onions, sliced thin

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper. Using the Hamburger Press & Keepers Deluxe Set, divide ground beef evenly between 4 keepers; insert press to form patties. Refrigerate until ready to marinate.
  2. In the base of the Power Chef® System fitted with blade attachment, add garlic, salt, parsley, clove, olive oil, Marsala, and balsamic. Cover and pull cord until garlic is minced. Pour marinade into the base of the Season-Serve® container; add onions.
  3. Place burger patties in marinade. Seal and refrigerate 3 hours. Flip Season-Serve® container to marinate other side of patties; refrigerate an additional 3 hours or overnight. Remove burgers from marinade.
  4. On a medium grill, or in a non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook burgers 6 minutes; flip and cook an additional 3 minutes or until burgers register 155° F/66° C. Meanwhile, pour marinade and onions into a non-stick skillet*. Bring to boiling, reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, until marinade thickens and onions become soft, about 8 minutes. Serve burgers with Marsala onions and your choice of buns.
